Ben Coleman

Ben “Big Ben” Coleman is a distinguished security professional, leader, and keynote speaker with over 20 years of experience in executive protection, travel risk management, crisis management, and cybersecurity. After playing one season in the NFL with the Carolina Panthers in 2002, Ben transitioned into a successful career in security, leveraging the discipline and leadership skills homed in professional sports. He currently serves as Principal Consultant at Coleman Contingency, where he specializes in developing and implementing strategic risk management solutions for clients across various industries.

Ben’s career spans global security and travel management across sectors such as entertainment, oil and gas, and technology. He has provided personal protection for high-profile individuals, ensuring both their physical and digital safety through the implementation of robust security measures to guard against online risks and cyberattacks.

Ben holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Florida A&M University and a Master of Security Management from the University of Houston-Downtown, demonstrating his commitment to ongoing professional development and expertise in the field.

In addition to his consulting work, Mr. Coleman is an active leader in several influential organizations. He serves as the Director of the Student Education Committee and a board member for the International Organization of Black Security Executives (IOBSE) and is a member of the Legislative Advisory Council for the Global Business Travel Association (GBTA). Mr. Coleman is also a proud member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.
