Yvonne Rouse
Yvonne Rouse is a Loss Prevention professional with over 25 years of experience in the retail industry. She is presently a Vice President of Loss Prevention with Ross Stores Inc., Dublin, California. Over the past eight years, Yvonne has taken on roles of increasing responsibility within Loss Prevention – including Director, Sr. Director and Assistant Vice President.
Prior to joining Ross, Yvonne was a Regional Loss Prevention Director with Sears Holdings Corporation; she also held leadership positions with TJX companies (TJ Maxx and Marshalls). Yvonne has applied her knowledge, experience and relentless drive to ensure results are sustainable. Throughout her career she has been responsible for Talent Management of Teams, Strategic Planning, Safety Programs, Physical Security, and the Investigation of Theft and Fraud.
Yvonne’s true passion is talent development. She has a natural bend towards leadership development and helping professionals realize their full potential.
She became a member of International Organization of Black Security Executives (IOBSE) in 2009. She has served on the Board of Directors since 2014. Yvonne’s dedication to mentorship and the development of future leaders is what continues to motivate and inspire her.
She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from Texas Southern University in Houston, Texas.
Bert Williams
Bert Williams is a Security Manager for Fannie Mae, the leading provider of residential mortgage credit in the U.S. secondary market. Since joining Fannie Mae in 2000, Bert has helped design and manage many of the Enterprise Security team’s most critical programs. He currently oversees daily security operations at the company’s Northern Virginia and Maryland offices, including representing the Enterprise Security team’s interests in one of the company’s largest initiatives – the Northern Virginia Workplace Strategy project.
Before joining Fannie Mae, Bert worked with The Wackenhut Corporation (now G4S) in several capacities. He also previously worked as a Special Investigator for US Investigations Services, and held several positions at the Federal Aviation Administration.
Bert holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice from the University of Maryland at College Park. He currently is on the Executive Committee for University of Maryland Black Alumni, and sits on the University of Maryland Alumni Board of Governors. Bert is a member of ASIS International, as well as its National Capital Chapter. Beyond his endeavors in the security field, Bert also is a voiceover artist whose voice has been featured in commercials, public service announcements, training videos and at live events.
Myron Burton
Myron Burton is presently employed by Ross Stores, Inc. as a Regional Loss Prevention Director. He began his tenure with the company in June of 2012 and supports a team of individuals responsible for stores within the Southeastern United States.
Myron’s introduction to Loss Prevention occurred at Mervyn’s Department Stores where he started as an hourly Associate. While there he went on to hold increasing levels of responsibility and his last position prior to transitioning was Field Asset Protection Team Leader. Since then Myron has held National and Regional Loss Prevention roles at SprintNextel and Bi-Lo Holdings (Winn-Dixie Stores).
Myron possesses a Bachelor’s Degree in Business with an emphasis in Finance and professional designations as a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and a Certified Forensic Interviewer (CFI).
Myron first became involved with the IOBSE in 2014 when he was invited by two current members to assist with College campus visits. Later that year he attended his first IOBSE Conference and was so impressed that he committed to joining the organization and becoming more involved. He was elected to the IOBSE Board during the 2015 elections and also serves on the Education Committee.
Ricky Davis
Mr. Ricky Davis’s security and risk management career began during his honorable and faithful service in the United States Army serving in combat, security force advisory and intelligence positions, respectively. His 27 years of world-wide experience in support of national and strategic security objectives provided him the opportunity to work and collaborate with some of the most talented leaders in the world.
Ricky is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of RICE Security and Consulting, LLC. His organization provides nation-wide physical and cyber security mitigation strategies as part of the Enterprise Security Risk Management (ESRM) methodology and ISO 31000 Risk Management Standards.
Ricky holds a Master’s degree in Business and Organizational Security Management, George Herbert Walker School for Business, Webster University, St. Louis and a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice/Protective Services, Excelsior College, Albany, New York. Ricky also maintains the Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) Designation.
Ricky joined the International Organization of Black Security Executives in 2013 as member, ascended to the Professional Education Committee, and is a current member of the Board of Directors since 2016. Ricky received the Curtis Hayes Versatility Award from IOBSE.
Ricky professional affiliations include ASIS International serving as the Area Regional Vice President for Region 4(b), ASIS’s Military Liaison Community, The National Institute of Crime Prevention (NICP), and the International Association for Professional Security Consultants (IAPSC) respectively.
Kevin Smith
Mr. Kevin Smith has over twenty years of professional experience including service in the US Army, law enforcement, and corporate security. During his law enforcement career, Mr. Smith served as a Field Training Officer, an Operator with the Special Weapons and Tactics (S.W.A.T.) Team, an instructor with the Regional Police Academy, and as an undercover Narcotics Detective with the Special Investigations Unit.
Mr. Smith now serves as an Enterprise Security Specialist of a utility company where he helps develop and oversee security operations, conducts vulnerability/risk assessments, criminal investigations, develops and implements enterprise-wide security procedures, and collaborates with other utilities as well as local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies.
Mr. Smith holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder in Sociology and a Masters of Sciences Degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Colorado at Denver. He became a member of ASIS in 2009 and since that time, has earned all three ASIS certification designations that include: Certified Protection Professional (CPP) designation, Physical Security Professional (PSP) designation, and Professional Certified Investigator (PCI) designation. He also earned the Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) designation through the American Crime Prevention Institute.
Mr. Smith is an instructor for ASIS where he teaches courses in Asset Protection Course. He serves on several Boards to include FBI-Denver InfraGard Member Alliance, the International Organization of Black Security Executives (IOBSE), and is a Committee Chair on the ASIS Investigations Council. Mr. Smith is also an Adjunct Professor at the Metropolitan State University of Denver where he teaches a variety of courses in the Criminal Program.
Bobby Louissaint
An experienced leader in the Security space of 23 years, Bobby comes from humble beginnings as an Applied Science graduate in Electronic Engineering from ITT Tech. He started his security career as a residential technician and has worked his way through the business to emerge as a leader in the market. As a field tech and project manager, Bobby’s technical experiences paved a solid foundation for him to become a trailblazer in the industry.
For the last 10 years Bobby has worked as a sales director within ADT/TYCO/JCI National accounts where he managed all corporate businesses along the West Coast of the US. Bobby has managed millions of dollars’ worth of business in his career and as director he has developed multiple territories and teams to success.
His experiences in sales have undoubtably proven him to be a sales leader, but his talents as a leader in general should not be overlooked as he has established himself as a facilitator and industry thought leader. Bobby has led his business in regard to new technologies, working internally and externally with innovative companies disrupting the norm.
No longer with JCI, Bobby has transitioned his career into more of an innovation strategy leader in the industry. Bobby spent a short time as the executive in charge of Strategic Engagements for a startup Artificial Intelligence company called Ambient AI, but moved on to become the Leader of Technical Solutions for Facebooks Global Security Services and Technology team. As we step into a new world of data management, Bobby is leading a business into a new arena of enablement by utilizing sensor data to exhibit specific results. Providing a new world of substantial business outcomes that provide action, performance, and efficiencies by enhancing today’s environment utilizing smart technologies.
Maya Jackson
Maya Jackson has been a leader in the retail Loss Prevention industry for over 21 years. She is currently a Regional Loss Prevention Director for Ross Stores, Inc. Maya has responsibilities for approximately 165 stores in 7 central and southern states. She is based out of Dallas, Texas.
Over her career she has been responsible for leading teams to drive excellent results. Although she is most passionate about talent development, she has developed expertise in reducing operational shortage, serious incident and crisis management training / response, and internal and external theft investigations.
She previously held positions as a store manager at the Home Depot, and various positions in Assets Protection at Target Corporation, where in addition to her roles she was a Senior Instructor for all asset protection training for the organization to include non-violent crisis intervention training. Being a New Jersey native, Maya attended Rutgers University where she studied Psychology and is currently continuing her education in business administration. Maya attended her first IOBSE event in 2001 and has been an active member over the last 8 years. In addition to her board position of the membership committee, Maya is active with Women in Security, North Texas division, ASIS.
Maya is also a passionate advocate for Autism resources for adults and spends as much time as she can with her husband, children and 4 dogs.
Stephanie Williams
With over 15 years of experience in professional office executive assistant positions and a track record of strong performance in high-volume, high-pressure environments, Stephanie skillfully manages administrative duties and client relations for her colleagues at ASK Media Group in Oakland, CA. As Executive Assistant and Office Manager, she ensures the smooth operation of the office with her robust knowledge of office management and efficient handling of all corporate events. Previous employers include National Mortgage Insurance (NMI), Whole Foods Market, and Gap Inc. Stephanie is active in the community and volunteers her time at Glide Memorial and the Oakland Boys and Girls Clubs.
Kim Hooper
Kim Hooper is from Biloxi, Mississippi but currently resides in Columbus, Ohio. She has over 19 years’ experience in loss prevention, asset protection, risk management, safety, and investigations. She is high energy, fast paced leader, that believes in world class customer service. Kim graduated from Alcorn State University in the class of 2000 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. She acquired her MBA in 2002 from Mississippi State University. In 2018, Kim was inducted into the “Leading Alcornites Under 50” by the Jackson, Mississippi Alcorn State University Alumni Chapter. She is the 2020-2022 Chair of the Alcorn State University School of Business Advisory Board. She helps determine the new curriculum offerings and calibrates the current classes available to students. She also leads recruitment efforts every year for her alma mater.
Professionally, Kim is the Regional Loss Prevention Manager with Amazon. She covers the Robotics Central Region that is compiled of five states with over 30,000 associates. Within Amazon, she is the President of the Amazon Women in Security (AWIS) Global Board. This organization supplies support to women associates in the United States, Australia, Japan, Europe, India, and Mexico. She is also a member of the Black Employee Network (BEN). This organization drives the support of black associates within the company and educates others in the area diversity, how to support the employees, and build up the community.
Currently, Kim continues making impacts in her local area. She is a member of the Columbus, Ohio City Council Commission for the “Black Girls’ Initiative.” This initiative is a movement to improve the quality of life for black girls between the ages of 11 and 22 through improved housing, better education, increased mentorship, and financial support. Kim was with Walmart for four years and in 2018 received the Walmart’s Regional “Making A Difference Award” for her recruitment efforts with the company and her work in the community. She has received over 15 awards for exceeding company metrics in her career and has a track record for growing talent to matriculate to the next level.
She is a three year member of IOBSE (International Organization of Black Security Executives). Within the organization, she is the Director of the Student Education Committee. Locally, she is a part of the National Urban League, National Black MBA Association, and the National Association of Blacks in Criminal Justice. Kim is most proud of her fifteen year-old daughter Dominique and spends her free time being a supportive band and cross-country mom! When not working, Kim enjoys traveling out of the country on exotic adventures.
William Wilson
William Wilson is a Loss Prevention professional with more than 30 years of experience in the retail, hospitality entertainment industries. He is presently the Assistant Vice President of Loss Prevention and Security at Half Price Books, a family owned chain of bookstores with locations across the U.S. In 6 years with Half Price Books, Will has held enterprise roles of increasing responsibility including Corporate Manager of LP and Security, Director, and his current role as AVP.
Prior to joining Half Price Books, Will held roles of increasing responsibility in corporate office settings, as well as field leadership with companies of varying business models to include Sears Holdings, Marshalls, T.J. Maxx, KB Toys, Stage Stores Inc., and Kmart. Along with participating on numerous advisory boards and leading technical and special project task forces during his career, Will’s roles had responsibilities with spans of control involving: Loss Prevention Operations at Corporate and Field Levels, eCommerce Fraud Mitigation, Information Technology Security, Business Continuity Planning, Risk Management, Executive Protection, Crowd Management, P&L Management, Policy & Procedure Development, Crisis Management, and Disaster Recovery and Emergency Response.
Will holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Henderson State University located in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. He has obtained several certifications from Wicklander-Zulawski Interview and Interrogation, The International Association of Interviewers, and most recently awarded a scholarship from the Loss Prevention Foundation to obtain the LPC certification. Will’s company actively participates in the NRF, and RILA organizations as well.
Will has been a member of IOBSE for over 3 years, and has enjoyed every moment of it. He has a true passion for giving back, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, as well as mentoring others in all aspects of life.
