BERT WILLIAMS

Bert Williams is a Security Manager for Fannie Mae, the leading provider of residential mortgage credit in the U.S. secondary market. Since joining Fannie Mae in 2000, Bert has helped design and manage many of the Enterprise Security team’s most critical programs. He currently oversees daily security operations at the company’s Northern Virginia and Maryland offices, including representing the Enterprise Security team’s interests in one of the company’s largest initiatives – the Northern Virginia Workplace Strategy project. Before joining Fannie Mae, Bert worked with The Wackenhut Corporation (now G4S) in several capacities. He also previously worked as a Special Investigator for US Investigations Services, and held several positions at the Federal Aviation Administration. Bert holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice from the University of Maryland at College Park. He currently is on the Executive Committee for University of Maryland Black Alumni, and sits on the University of Maryland Alumni Board of Governors. Bert is a member of ASIS International, as well as its National Capital Chapter. Beyond his endeavors in the security field, Bert also is a voiceover artist whose voice has been featured in commercials, public service announcements, training videos and at live events.
