IOBSE’s Homecoming 2025 New Orleans

Where it all began

In 1982, IOBSE was formed in New Orleans. In 2025, we return not just to celebrate but to reignite the legacy. Join us in the city that shaped our mission. This homecoming is a tribute to our roots, our rally for our future, and the reunion like no other.

Founders
In 1982, at a time when the security industry lacked diversity, six Black men saw one another across the crowded streets of New Orleans during the American Society for Industrial Security (now ASIS International) Conference.

That powerful moment of recognition sparked the founding of the International Organization of Black Security Executives (IOBSE). Since then, IOBSE has grown into the leading non-profit organization for minority security professionals, committed to empowerment, mentorship, and lasting impact across the industry.
