Welcome to the International Organization of Black Security Executives (IOBSE). These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the IOBSE website, portals, services, memberships, events, and digital platforms (collectively, the "Services"). By accessing or using the IOBSE website, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree, please do not use the Services.

1. About IOBSE

The International Organization of Black Security Executives (IOBSE) is a professional association dedicated to advancing the development, leadership, and influence of Black security professionals worldwide through education, advocacy, networking, and the establishment of professional standards.

2. Eligibility and Membership

Membership is open to individuals who meet IOBSE eligibility requirements as established by the organization.

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your information up to date.

IOBSE reserves the right to approve, deny, suspend, or revoke membership at its sole discretion, consistent with its bylaws, code of ethics, and policies.

3. User Accounts and Access

Certain Services require the creation of a user account.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities conducted under your account.

Unauthorized use of accounts, portals, or restricted resources is strictly prohibited.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the IOBSE website for unlawful, fraudulent, or malicious purposes; misrepresent your identity, credentials, or affiliation; interfere with or disrupt the operation or security of the website and the organization; upload or distribute content that is defamatory, discriminatory, harassing, obscene, or otherwise objectionable; and attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems, data, or networks.

5. Intellectual Property

All content, trademarks, logos, documents, certificates, training materials, and digital assets provided by IOBSE are the property of IOBSE or its licensors.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works without prior written consent from IOBSE, except for personal, non-commercial use where expressly permitted.

6. Events, Programs, and Certifications

Registration fees, deadlines, attendance requirements, and participation standards for events, programs, and certifications are published separately and incorporated by reference.

IOBSE reserves the right to modify, reschedule, or cancel events or programs.

Certifications and credentials issued by IOBSE may be revoked for misconduct, misrepresentation, or violation of organizational policies.

7. Payments, Fees, and Refunds

Membership dues, event fees, donations, and other charges must be paid in accordance with published rates and payment terms.

All payments are non-refundable unless otherwise stated in writing by IOBSE.

IOBSE may use third-party payment processors and does not store full payment card information.

8. Privacy

Your use of the Services is also governed by the IOBSE Privacy Policy, which describes how personal information is collected, used, and protected. By using the Services, you consent to such collection and use.

9. Communications

By registering or engaging with IOBSE, you consent to receive organizational communications, including emails related to membership, events, certifications, and official notices.

You may opt out of non-essential communications in accordance with applicable law.

IOBSE makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, reliability, or suitability of content or Services for any particular purpose.

Professional development, certifications, or participation in IOBSE programs do not guarantee employment, promotion, or professional outcomes.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, IOBSE shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Services.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless IOBSE, its officers, directors, volunteers, partners, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your violation of these Terms or misuse of the Services.
